Excellent ideaI listened to the Song of the Soul, David Huber's selections. Excellent idea. I've always listened to music as essential to my spiritual journey. His selections by Zappa, Floyd, and Mahler were all particular favorites for me too. I remember listening to Zappa's 'outside now' late at night in a converted shed in the vines of Tuscany. and then wandering out past the little monastery to the cemetary. Floyd's 'pigs' was almost the soundtrack to my retreats in my tent at the foot of the Alps where they plunge into the mediterranean. Your archival record of Sami Rasouli [founder of Muslim Peacemaker Teams-3/19/06-SPIRIT IN ACTION]describes reconstruction work in Fallujah inspired by Christian Peacemaker Teams in Iraq from the U.S. (It echoes our group's email exchange today regretting that Iran rather than the U.S. reaps credit in Lebanon for reconstruction, as if lessons of the U.S. Marshall Plan in Europe have been forgotten.) She and Steve Gaskin provided a model for living from 1966 forward to today, starting with Steven's Monday Night Class in San Francisco and continuing through all of her good work with home birthing in her community as well as the lights she lit across the world with her book on the subject.
