Sarah Kyrie Choice Poverty, Unschooling, Guns & Pepper Spray Seres Kyrie showWe have lived with an income that was below taxable level for 30 plus years, but it wasn't near poverty the whole time. We actually had the highest income when we had the most deductions. A coworker from Africa visited our farm once and as soon as he got out of his car he said "you"re rich!". I agreed. Like Seres and her family, it was helpful to have white privilege, generous and helpful parents and a good education. Another helpful thing to have is good mental wellness. I think most people who live in voluntary simplicity have the best mental wellness, but maybe that's because they think like me. Great discussion! Rich Featherly (not verified)
Sublime Thunder Braden Canfield is in my Hall of FameIn my personal musical Hall of Fame you comparing notes with Stevie Wonder and Claudia Schmidt. Next to the Fireplace there's a hired singer guitarist by the name of Braden Canfield. He's certain that there's been a mistake in being in the same room with all these cats. What he doesn't know, is that it was a unanimous vote, by everyone there, to be graced by his song and lyric at this particular gathering. ( Note Stephen Sondheim nodding with approval, sitting on the couch with Cole Porter.) Like a proud Father and a loyal brother, it is with tears of joy that I defend the grounds of my personal fantasy with the words of Lesley Gore: “It's MY party and I'll cry if I want to...and you would too if it happened to YOU!” The talent and genius of Braden Canfield has “happened” to me and I only hope that this program will keep him happening to others, near and far, for a long time. Play on, my friend and you can keep my capo. With Love and Affection, James Schattauer James Schattauer (not verified)

I Resisted Today Thrilled!I am nothing short of thrilled to hear from you and to have run into you and your shows. Most News has such a negative bias, it's hard to find good material that stays on the solution side of change. We pay so much attention to the problems, it keeps them inflated more than they deserve, after all, they are all failed ideas. Ron Skinner (not verified)

Learning From & Wrestling With Humanity 101 Conversation toward my heart's yearningsI was raised as "a brain." For the last half of my life (37 years) I've been favoring my heart and nurturing my soul. But my life before adulthood hungers for meaning on it's native terms. I need more than "yes!" I need a good story, what I was raised to call "an explanation." Wow! This is good stuff! For me. I had looked at a preview of the book, via Amazon's Kindle, and found it intriguing, but too heady. This interview was the perfect next step for me. The author's voice was a helpful carrier of his facile intelligence. Mark's questions led the conversation toward my heart's yearnings, rather than away from them. Richard Fuller (not verified)
