| I didn't know anything aboutI didn't know anything about Anne Hills, except that she has an absolutely perfect voice - I have heard her on a "Tribute to Pete Seeger" CD. Hers is the kind of voice you would enjoy even if you didn't know the language she was singing in. Turns out she had lots of interesting stories to tell also, and a kind and caring personality, as you would expect from a friend of Pete's. As I was listening to the program, two deer came peacefully walking through my garden outside the window in the middle of "Nighttime Falls". It was so beautiful I wept with joy. Thanks for a great program! | Ulla Skold (not verified) | ||

| History... a consensus whenHistory... a consensus when chronicling experience. There are so many people, from just as many places with their individual stake in the story. Example: WWII as told by the journalists at Normandy and Iwo Jima vs. what has been told by US citizens of Japanese decent, incarcerated in internment camps. Then, those stories are so different, than a widow trying to run the family farm while her sons are at Normandy. Then consider the grandson of the grandfather who came home with PDSD and became the crippling element of his family, passing on his pain to the following generations; long after the stories have been printed in the history books. Excellent interview Mark. | Larry Capra (not verified) | ||

So glad I caught this programSo glad I caught this program! I love Tribe 1 and had the good fortune to be able to sing with them briefly while I was in Philadelphia in 2005-06. Niyonu Spann's welcoming spirit and open heart was such a gift to me, and, as Ingrid and Johnathan said, her ability to tune in and listen - and to change plans on the spot, out of her intuitive listening! - cultivates in the group an exciting experience of walking in faith all the time. I miss Tribe 1 immensely, not living in Philly now, and am grateful for this interview and program! | Paulette Meier (not verified) | |
