Bryan Bielanski

Bryan Bielanski hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, though he's spending little enough time there as he takes his music almost everywhere in the US & in quite a few other countries as well. His band when starting out was called Angwish, but he morphed into Bryan's Super Happy Fun Time when he decided to go solo (see the bonus excerpt). His website says we should “Imagine Nirvana and the Beatles had a kid together who became an acoustic rock singer-songwriter”, and that then we'll understand Bryan's music. Currently Bryan is touring all over the USA, whittling down the tiny list of states he's not yet played in, so you might want to check his website to see if he's passing near you, bringing his upbeat and alter-beat music.

I had an instant deep connection with Bryan’s music and have been enjoying his songs and can-do spirit since the early 2000’s.  This interview deepened my understanding of why his songs address and comfort wounds so old and deep, Thank God, I don’t know how I got them.  There’s a lot of new information and explanation here.  
Thanks to interviewer and interviewee for gently peeling back some significant layers of the music and the man.

I've been listening to and following Angwish / Brian for a good two decades. You can definitely give him credit for never giving up and never selling out. While I wouldn't consider Angwish poppy, I would say that even some of the heaviest songs are still fun, catchy and will have you humming along after they're over. If you like any kind of rock and roll definitely a band to give a listen to and check out.  They also can take a song from any genre and make it their own when they cover it!
