Interview sounds greatThank you for giving me the opportunity to talk about the work of Quaker House and the GI Rights Hotline. It was a true pleasure to be able to share with you and your audience. I have sent the link to our online followers and email list.
Shape note singingI really enjoyed this podcast. I've been singing shape note for over thirty years now (mostly in Kansas), and love how it is about the experience of singing (and sharing food) together, not about performance. Singers will be welcomed at any sing they go to. Your podcast presented a nice explanation and selection highlighting tunes from a number of the Sacred Harp / shape note books.
Shape-noteThanks for doing the interview with me. I listened to the longer version of the program. It sounds great.

Song of the Soul Interview-Steve HazellThis interview was thoughtfully prepared. I found Steve's responses to be wonderfully anecdotal and insightful! And of course, the stories within his music are captivating, as always. Such a treat!
Thank you for including me.I very much enjoyed my experience on the show. It was a wonderful conversation.
Chippewa Valley IndivisibleGreat conversation with Mark about Chippewa Valley Indivisible's grassroots effort to reunite our communities and rebuild a government that works for everyone. I really enjoyed the values discussion we had and the deeper spiritual connection that pulls us toward the good. It was exciting to talk about a life commited to activism and creating a world with everyone included and no one left out. And, most importantly, it is really great to hear Patti Smith's People Have the Power making a comeback to inspire another generation as she "commits her dream" to those just joining the fight.
Episode airing 2/25/25Thank you Mark, for a warm and inviting interview. It felt much more like two folks just talking - catching up with each other after all those years. That is thanks to your interview style - friendly, gentle, and carefully researched questions. The opportunity to talk about my work across a 30+ year span of recorded material was enlightening for me as well. Why did I write that song?! Simply because I had to, but you made me think deeper than that. Thank you Mark! And may you and your program have many more years of great conversations.
