Chuck Brodsky This Is It with Chuck Brodsky 02/13/2024 - 18:43 Interview

Enjoyable interview. I always learn something new about Chuck. This time it was why he has written fewer Hockey than Baseball songs. I was introduced to his music from a friend about 17 years ago via his first Baseball Ballads CD. I subsequently purchased the second before investigating all of his other CDs. I've since introduced his music to a few diehard sports fan friends of mine who love his creative storytelling through his relatable music. My first in-person meeting with Chuck was just prior to the Pandemic when he played a house concert in Cary, NC. In 2022, my better half Diana and I were able to spend a week+ with him and about 18 other fantastic people on one of his tours of Ireland. It was a most remarkable trip complete with interesting scenery, fantastic live music nightly, and wonderful people (and no this is not a paid testimonial). I am glad this interview included Warsaw in May as it is my favorite song of his. Thank you!

Chuck Brodsky This Is It with Chuck Brodsky 02/11/2024 - 13:26 Chuck Brodsky

Thanks for your interview of Chuck Brodsky. I first met Chuck in 1996 at a small coffee house and was an instant fan. I arranged to have him come to the school where I was teaching. Conditions on my end resulted in it not happening, and it was one of the major disappointments in my life.  However, about 15 years later I was able to arrange for him to connect with a school were a friend was teaching. He introduced the students to his Holocaust songs and his impact on the students is priceless. He is an amazing human being. His insights and his ability tough the soul is rare. The selection of songs and your questions gave your listeners a great sense of who Chuck is. I learned some things I didn't know. Thanks, again!
